PM Modi urged to build Oxygen Corridor from Pakistan

Jalandhar: Worried over the ongoing shortage of medical oxygen in the wake of the deadly COVID-19 second wave in the country, Amritsar Member Parliament (MP) and Congress leader Gurjeet Singh Aujla on Monday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking a special ‘oxygen corridor’ from Pakistan.
In his letter, Aujla wrote that India’s hospitals are facing an alarmingly high shortage of liquid oxygen, ventilators, BiPAPs, oxygenators, PPE etc. due to the spike in COVID-19 cases, according to The Wire.
“I must say that last day has evoked mixed feelings which is difficult to describe. I have been a part of the ceremonial bench before but did not feel such mixed feelings which could enable me to say things clearly,” he said.
Sunil Mane was arrested after his involvement in the case came to light.
Faisal Edhi, Managing Trustee of the Abdul Sattar Edhi Foundation, has extended 50 ambulances and emergency staff to deal with the pandemic that has hit India “exceptionally”.
