Scandal star Tony Goldwyn hosted a virtual Parade Across America, featuring a range of performances from around the country. Although as individual citizens we have our differences, more in some moments than others, one bond that unites us as Americans, especially today, is our belief in our enduring democracy, said the actor, director and producer, who played President Fitzgerald Grant for seven seasons on the ABC show. Goldwyn, speaking from an off-site studio space, proceeded to guide the audience through the presidential escort of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to the White House.
Jon Stewart popped back into the spotlight to kick off the virtual inauguration parade for President
Joe Biden. On Wednesday the former
Daily Show host was one of the many famous faces to make a remote appearance at the virtual Parade Across America, a reimagined version of the traditional Inauguration Day fete.Â
âItâs been a tough year,â Stewart said, opening the event. (You can watch his remarks in the video below.) âA pandemic, economic downturns, political division, social unrest. But we need to rememberâ¦there are millions of unsung American heroes who are keeping our nation going.â
He praised teachers and workers who are âkeeping us all connectedâ¦reminding us about what it is to truly be an American.â Stewart also tapped one of those unsung heroes, conducting a mini interview with Dr.
Whitehouse.gov relaunches to reflect Biden presidency

The whitehouse.gov website has been updated to reflect Joe Biden is the new President. It now also includes a Spanish language version of the White House’s communications.
La Casa Blanca’s Spanish language communications went dark in 2017 when Trump took office.
Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush both maintained a Spanish version of the White House website.

DJ Cassidy, whose star-stuffed DJ sets provided some joy during a difficult 2020, brought his Pass the Mic series – which finds a musical legend performing a signature hit before virtually passing the mic to another icon – to the online concert celebrating the 2021 Presidential Inauguration of Joe Biden on Wednesday (June 20).
He started out by queueing up Earth, Wind & Fire to virtually deliver Sing a Song before segueing to Nile Rodgers and Kathy Sledge, who led a massive sing-along to Sister Sledge s We Are Family with the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, the Washington Chorus and the Triumph Baptist Church Choir.

Stars of all stripes are set to participate in the fast-approaching inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
Wednesday’s star-spangled events will see a variety of celebrities including actors, actresses, musicians, TikTok stars and a national youth poet laureate sprinkled throughout a long day of virtual patriotic programming.
Many of the biggest names will appear during Wednesday night’s “Celebrating America” primetime special, hosted by screen legend Tom Hanks though several entertainment luminaries will take part in the inaugural parade, and even the inauguration ceremony itself on Capitol Hill.
