It was the deadliest year for Harrisburg in more than 30 years.
Twenty-two people died by homicide, up from 14 in 2019. So far, police have solved half of last year’s homicides. If you have information on an unsolved homicide, you can call Harrisburg police at 717-558-6900.

Police make an arrest in connection to the homicide of a Swatara Township woman on Wednesday.
Tristan Nicholson, 35, is at Dauphin County Central Booking awaiting arraignment on Criminal Homicide charges.
Swatara Township Police say they were called to the first block of South Harrisburg Street at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Officers arrived to find a deceased woman on the floor of her apartment.
Through investigation, police and investigators from the Dauphin County District Attorney s office were able to determine that Tristan Nicholson was responsible for the woman s death.
Nicholson was located in York County and taken to Dauphin County Central Booking pending arriagnment.
Harrisburg School District Closes All Buildings Today
(Harrisburg, PA) All Harrisburg School District buildings are going to be closed today. The district announced the closure yesterday and said it was due to the bad weather. (Harrisburg, PA) A temporary emergency men s shelter is opening in Harrisburg. The shelter is located in Gospel Fellowship Church at 1635 North Seventh Street. It is opening to provide shelter to men in need during the winter snowstorm. The shelter will be open and available from seven-in-the-afternoon to seven-in-the-morning until tomorrow.
Man charged with killing woman found dead in Dauphin County apartment

Swatara Township Police on Wednesday night arrested a man they say killed a woman found earlier in the day.
Police have charged Tristan Nicholson with criminal homicide in the death of Kelly Anne Patton. Her age was not given.
Patton was found dead in her apartment on South Harrisburg Street in the township around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, police say.

Nicholson was located in York County and transported to the Dauphin County Booking Center, where he is being held pending arraignment on the charges, according to police, who did not provide his home address.
