/ Napanee Today May 5, 2021 9:00 AM KFL&A Public Health are recognizing and celebrating the long-term care and retirement homes in the Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox and Addington region that have achieved vaccination rates of over 90 per cent among their residents and staff. During the month of April, KFL&A Public Health challenged all staff and residents in long-term care and retirement homes in KFL&A to get vaccinated. “With the support of community stakeholders, partners, staff, and residents, we congratulate nine long-term care and retirement homes that achieved this milestone. We are so pleased as this brings us one step closer towards preventing COVID-19 from spreading amongst our most vulnerable population,” said Dr. Kieran Moore, Medical Officer of Health at KFL&A Public Health. “Sending a very special thank you to all of the staff at these Homes for everything they do to keep residents and co-workers safe and healthy.” ....
