A federal appeals court has blocked trump s attempt to stop former vice president mike pence from testifying before a federal grand jury that is investigating trump s role in the january 6th insurrection the d.c. circcourt s refusal to block the subpoena yesterday comes after trump filed an emergency motion to halt a lower court decision ordering pence to testify. trump s legal team argued that executive privilege bars pence from giving any testimony. the former vp also initially fought the subpoena citing the speech and debate clause, arguing that he was acting as president of the senate on january 6th. but pence has since agreed to testify. now, trump can still appeal to the supreme court. a spokesperson for the former president did not respond to our request for comment yesterday. meanwhile, a bipartisan group of senators have introduced a bill that would ban
