The Amador Valley High School baseball team found itself in a precarious situation entering the fifth inning Friday at Foothill—the Dons were trailing 3-0 and didn’t have a hit.
The Foothill High School baseball team had scored only two runs in its two previous games as it entered its matchup with visiting Livermore on April 1.
Burlington, IA- Three people are facing felony drug charges following a Burlington traffic stop. 37 year old Trevor Harmon of Lomax, Illinois, 25 year old Brooke Zwicky of Burlington, and 23 year old Makenzy Gilpin of Fort Madison are all facing felony charges following a traffic stop. The Hawk Eye reports that, at about 3 PM Monday, detectives with the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force were conducting surveillance on Harmon as part of an investigation into methamphetamine distribution, and observed a vehicle containing Harmon and Zwicky, driven by Gilpin from Burlington to a known drug house in Galesburg, Illinois. The three then drove back to Burlington, and were stopped by Burlington Police near Highway 61 and Mount Pleasant Street. Police conducted a search of the vehicle police located a purse containing over seven grams of methamphetamine. Police also found a digital scale and packaging materials in a backpack, which belonged to Harmon, and a syringe containing methamphetamine
