smollett s case deserved to be aired out and he was not interested in whether or not there was a guilty verdict. he felt like cook county deserved justice one way or another. of course he is obviously thrilled with the verdict. jussie smollett found guilty on five out of six charges. the sixth charge is a charge of aggravated battery. that is because jussie smollett told police that his attacker were wearing masks. the jury found jussie smollett guilty on the five other charges. they are battery because jussie smollett was injured and they were also hate crime because jussie smollett is a black gay man. in all the jury deliberated about nine hours total. seven hours today. two hours yesterday. they only came back with one question. they wanted a copy of the prosecution s calendar which had giant red x marks ton indicating important dates in this trial. jussie smollett will now be sentenced in a matter of couple of weeks. we are waiting for jussie smollett to walk through this
