SEPTA will begin deploying more police officers on its Broad Street and Market-Frankford line trains next week. The move comes after years of increased violent crime on the transit system, and a recent pair of stabbings. The number of aggravated assaults reported in 2022 were more than double the total reported in 2019. SEPTA also will utilize unarmed security guards.
