Grand Forks woman facing DUI charges following chase and crash

(Hillsboro, ND) A Grand Forks woman is facing charges after leading law enforcement on a chase before crashing multiple times. Authorities say a Trail County Sheriff's Deputy stopped a male driver and was conducting a DUI investigation when Aneesa Villarreal-Brusegaard got out of the passenger seat and drove off in the vehicle. High speed chase spans several ND counties including GF

A driver and passenger have been arrested following a high speed chase that spanned numerous counties in the Red River Valley.  The Grand Forks Sheriff’s Department assisted in pursuit today (Saturday) on I-29.  Here’s how the NDHP described the event.
The pursuit originated in Pembina County. A Pembina County Deputy observed a vehicle that was reported as stolen from Harwood ND and was exceeding the speed limit. When the Deputy attempted a traffic stop the vehicle fled southbound on I-29. The top speed of the fleeing vehicle during the pursuit was 95 mph. The suspect vehicle exited the interstate and traveled eastbound on Hwy 54, briefly entering Minnesota before turning westbound and returning to North Dakota where it continued to travel southbound on I-29. As Law Enforcement continued to pursue, the suspect vehicle drove over spike strips set out by the Grand Forks Sheriff’s Office deflating one tire, the suspect v ....
