Active Covid-19 cases among DOJ personnel rise to 136

MANILA - The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Wednesday said the number of confirmed coronavirus cases among its personnel for this month alone has so far reached 141. In an update, Justice Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay-Villar said the figure can be broken down into 136 active cases and five recoveries. The figure includes 59 cases from the DOJ main office in Manila; 61 cases from DOJ offices across the National Capital Region; one from the Inter-Agency Council against Trafficking Operations center; two from the Witness Protection Program office; one from the DOJ Ilocos regional office; 10 from Central Luzon, and seven from Calabarzon. The latest figures brought the number of confirmed infections among DOJ workers to 994 since the pandemic started in 2020.
