Journey and my experience and i want to be able to just help them to navigate. navigating a world full of challenges from new concepts in the classroom to new languages. my dream is to change the world. i remember like even when this is challenging, don t give up. and trying to connect her to our own life. a life that began in jamaica. i grew up very economically disadvantaged. when you grow up in poverty and you make it out, you have an obligation to give back and so, i always carried that with me. now she didn t just go to the olympic trials, but all the way here to the u.s. where she never outran her roots in reggae nor passion for the sport that changed her life. if i didn t get a track scholarship i don t know what the trajectory of my life would have been. it made it possible to graduate from howard university
