Coal, lignite PSUs to develop 19 new eco-parks; Rs 128 crore fund for green cover initiative

Public sector units in the coal and lignite sectors in India are planning to develop 19 new eco-parks and tourism sites in mining areas. An estimated amount of Rs 128 crore will be invested in these initiatives to promote sustainable tourism and environmental conservation. The coal ministry stated that 15 eco-parks and mine tourism sites have already been established, with some integrated into the local tourism circuit.
