Parents defend Silver coach after ‘boxing’ story Written by Nickolas Seibel on May 24, 2021 More than a dozen parents of Silver High School student- athletes have come to the defense of strength and conditioning coach Tylon Wilder, who was the subject of an Albuquerque television station story late last week criticizing a “boxing” drill Wilder organized among members of the school’s softball team. Wilder was involved with Silver High’s football program this past school year, and has worked with the softball program for the past two years. “Wilder, during the summer, offers his conditioning program to schools around the country and is paid for it.
