runoff system. we talked about the racist history of these runoffs a few weeks ago on this program. do you think there is a realistic chance that georgia will and the practice, and how might that impact the states politics in the next few years? susan, then juanita. i don t see it happening anytime soon. but it certainly is something they should eliminate. we saw what happened for the last two cycles. most states do not require 50% threshold, and i think that should be the same for georgia. juanita? rev, i refuse to believe in the past two weeks that raffensperger figured out the historic barrier that runoffs create on black voters in trying to limit black political power. and so, i just refuse the premise to begin with. and absolutely not we are gonna see any change from this republican-controlled state legislature at all. all right, steven sandal pressing on when he to toliver. thank you both. after the break, a show of

it s very toliver? steve: what part? rachel: rach an event with a lot of violence. steve: and there was a war. rachel: they say we need to be sensitive. but there is really something else behind it. my son tried to do a tribute of sorts at his school, a catholic school years ago. i don t know, four years ago. and it was considered very controversial. and this is why young americas foundation has started to, you know, help kids to put this forward. they send them boxes with flags. oftentimes these memorials are vandalized. steve: st. louis over the weekend. rachel: at notre dame. you have would think that 9/11 is something we all agree on? guess what? there are people feel like it s insensitive to muslims. might make them feel uncomfortable. there is a lot of controversy about it. steve: except the pros them.
and the confession. i had black cops confess they were afraid of latinos. i had asian cops confess they were afraid of black people and latinos. so we have an intertribal problem here and i think what we need to do is simply acknowledge that reality and the next step is to sit down and figure out the training protocols for how you expose each tribe to the other. and you get them to tamp down the fears because there s a constant exposure. and you want to know something? once these white cops that i was dealing with, i would take them into watts, i would introduce them to mrs. day and mrs. toliver and i would get them around the older black guys who had been members of gangs and we started having breakfast together and lunch together and pretty soon they were on a first name basis and they felt like they knew one another.
