Lining pockets of lawyers. i get that. there s a lot of critics out there in the world. but just look at toe back wrote. when we started the tobacco case, there were 38% of american kids that were starting to smoke. now it s down less than 35%. what we put in place worked. we ve reduced a number of people who are smoking in this country. adult smoking is below 15%. it was up at 40%. so deaths from lung cancer, heart disease and the like. what we re trying to achieve here is the same thing. you ve got 60,000 people dying every year. we would like to reduce that. will some lawyers make some money? maybe they will. maybe they won t. if the drug industry would get in the same room with me tomorrow and the attorneys general and sit down and work out some resolution and pay their fair share, i don t need any money from it whatsoever. what i want is a solution to the problem. and if that is what congress and the senate would do, the house of representatives and the senate and the president

This feels like hillary clinton dipping a toe back into something that she knows well. did you see that as hillary clinton beginning to make a statement or making her next move somehow? well, i think hillary is resting, reflecting on what she wants to do. but like once you re a woman in the senate, you know that you have to square your shoulders, put your lipstick on and fight on. and i believe that hillary is analyzing how she can once again make best use of her incredible talents, encourage others to be part of the political process, and i was encouraged to hear the tweet. hash tag put your lipstick on and fight on. senator bash are mikulski, thank you for being here on new day. it s what i do every day.
