waukesha christmas parade on sunday. here s a look at the path of the car that went through the parade. it smashed through barricades and then an officer opened fire, attempting to stop it from hitting the parade. police don t think the driver fired any shots. but horrified bystanders then watched as the car narrowly misses a toddler dancing in the street. it continues speeding by before finally colliding with crowds. that was the worst thing i ve ever seen in my life. that was the worst thing i ve ever seen in my life. somebody hit a whole crowd of kids. we just heard like something hitting something and we honestly thought that it was part of the parade and then i looked over and there was a red ford explorer just ramming into everybody. lots of kids. there was moms running looking for their children afterwards, like screaming for their children, running in stores. reporter: at least 12 of the 40 injured were children.
