Politico said its conceivable trump could face a jury in two or three of the cases before the year is out. Each day that passes makes cramming multiple trials into 2024 unlikely. How well the static kill operation may have worked that was done last week. that s where they poured thousands of pounds of heavy mud and cement into the top of the well. some of that cement may have gone all the way down 13,000 feet to the bottom of the well and then up the sides of the casing. well, that s exactly where the relief well would be drilling into. so admiral thad allen and the government scientists aren t convinced there s enough cement there to seal permanently. so they want to go ahead with the relief well operation. that would reseem in aboume in days. there is another possibility, alex that the admiral brought up yesterday is that they want to ensure that the top of the casing is not compromised in any way. so they might want to change out the blowout preventer. if that happens, this time line changes. because they would have to bring it from onshore, presumably. it would take several days to hook up. they would have to test it and then they would proceed with the rel
