Cheshire Park and Rec starts new cornhole league Cheshire Park and Rec starts new cornhole league Cheshire Parks and Recreation Department on July 11, 2018 | Andrew Baxter, Special to the Record-Journal Advertisement By Mariah Melendez, Cheshire Herald staff CHESHIRE — A game usually reserved for backyard barbecues and graduation parties has made its way into the competitive sports arena, and the Parks and Recreation Department is helping town residents get into the act.  With the help of Pete DeBisschop from Pop’s Pizza, Parks and Recreation is now offering indoor cornhole as an option.  “We’re really excited to offer this and have it as something for everyone to partake in,” said Tim Weed, Parks and Recreation program coordinator. “We’re really lucky to have Pete around to help us. He actually is involved in competitive cornhole, so he’s going to help us with equipment and the beginner lessons.”
