Thanks to the generosity of several area businesses, individuals and organizations, Firefighter Ministry now has a new SUV that will be used for the delivery of supplies supporting fire victims and firefighters in the future.
Tuesday afternoon, the keys to a Ford Expedition were handed over to Carissa Schank for the organization’s work helping others.
Schank tells KNEB News she was humbled by the surprise that will help make a significant impact. “It’s been a need for several years, because I’ve been borrowing other people’s vehicles, usually my brother’s or my Mom’s,” said Schank. “My small car doesn’t make it back into treacherous terrain, (and) long-distance travel is a big thing, so it will definitely help us complete our mission even more.”
