A small British startup s complaint threatens to loosen the search giant s grip on digital advertising

In most David and Goliath battles, the party cast as the Philistine giant can at least see who throws the pebble. But the rock heading in Google’s direction comes from an unexpected quarter: not Capitol Hill or the Berlaymont, but a small technical services company based in Reading, 51Degrees, and its founder James Rosewell.
Rosewell is furious at the changes Google is making to the digital advertising market. He says it will increase the Silicon Valley Goliath’s dominance and may deal a death blow to the beleaguered local news business.
