The passing of Engr. Don Dizon, known to many as Koyang Don, has left the city of Angeles in mourning. He was a dedicated public servant who always put the needs of his community first. I had the honor of working with Engr. Don Dizon for three years during the Pamintuan administration. His commitment to his work as a city engineer was unmatched. He was always available to answer calls and respond to texts, even beyond office hours and on weekends. His dedication to his craft was inspiring. Engr. Don's humility was one of his most endearing qualities. Despite his significant contributions, he never sought the limelight, preferring to let his work speak for itself. His humility was matched only by his enthusiasm for his work. He was a true professional who always ensured that his work was of the highest quality. Engr. Don Dizon was more than just a colleague, he was a friend, a mentor, and a guide. His wisdom and insights will be missed, but his legacy will live on.
After the 1991 Mount Pinatubo eruption, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. brought the city back to life with the first Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan (TTKD) celebration. This year, the two-night party is expected to draw thousands of revelers and boost the economy.
