The initiative comes two months after Makhanda taxi operators used their own money and manpower to fix some of the worst potholes in the town.
Fed up with pothole-riddled roads of the once well-run university town of Makhanda in the Eastern Cape, businesses have taken it upon themselves to fix it.
ICT and telecommunications companies, Vox, Ecologic (also known as Grahamstown Wi-Fi) and Frogfoot, have partnered to fix 300 potholes in the town as part of a project that s expected to take two months.
Vox CEO Jacques du Toit announced this in a statement on Tuesday.
