but it is an alarming document. and it has been published by the press. there is incentive for the committee to keep a lot of the content from these archives secret. i think for the reason maybe you re talking about right now, in case witnesses change their testimony based on what s there. how important is keeping these documents secret? how much of it could be put out there public le? well, ultimately, everything is going to be public. we will have public hearings. we ll have release of documents. but at the investigative phase, it s usually a pretty good idea for the investigators not to lay everything out before the investigation is finished. so that s where we are now. you re right. witnesses who may be recalcitrant may not know what we have, and that might encourage them to approach the committee with greater honesty.
