Rockies is going to experience some type of winter-type weather and maybe significant impacts in big airports like atlanta, d.c. the middle of the week. let s talk about what s happening this morning. a minor snow event. 3 to 6 inches from delaware to southern new jersey. this will move up to areas of long island and clip new england later tonight. but 3 to 6 inches in those areas is not really a big deal. let s move on and talk about what s next. the storm doesn t really show what s on the map. you see some green. that s the rain just beginning. that s the signs of our southern storm. currently the energy associated with that is there near new mexico. there s also another storm up in montana. both of these storms are going to kind of move across the country. there s plenty of cold air in place for a winter event. this is about as cold as we get. the wind chill as low as 31 in atlanta. with the cold air in place, two storms will move through. the areas of purple are under winter storm
