Thankfully he s all right. he s been released from the hospital. he says he just has some bruises, contusions and cuts on his legs. the most dramatic thing we heard is he said, first off, that he never heard the assailant say anything. he never heard the suspect say anything at all. he said that within 15 or 20 seconds, to his recollection, that suspect was down, shot by an officer who just happened to be close by. and you heard him choke up when he described that officer. he was asked about the police officer who fired those shots. he said, if he were here, i d put my arms around him. he also said that he had heard the officer challenge the man three times to put the knife down before firing any shots. and he was asked at length about the man who did all of this, who we now know to be abdul razak ali artan. when asked about him, he said, i m not going to speculate. i m not going to get out there in front of what we know. he said, i m sore but i m going home this afternoon. this man is ....
