Gayle Marie Bartels, 80, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023. She was born on July 13, 1943, to Robert Aubrey Bone and Elise Marie (Madere) Bone in New Orleans.
The nearly 50-year-old tradition is one where 99th birthdays are celebrated, late-in-life romances are born and doctors’ orders are disobeyed — all for the sake of dancing.
Beginning Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29, this small town in the Panhandle will be filled with dancers and fiddlers and families ready to enjoy what Texas Monthly called a must attend event for any Texan.
