Supporters of a man facing extradition to Samoa staged a small demonstration outside the Brisbane magistrates court on Friday.
Talalelei Paugu has been in custody for more than six months after Australian authorities acted on an extradition request from the government of Samoa. Mr Pauga, who is a dual Australian and Samoan citizen, is wanted by Samoan authorities for allegedly plotting to assassinate the country s long-serving Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele with two other men in 2019.
