LOWELL A crowd packed into Taffeta at Western Avenue Studios Monday afternoon for the 25th annual Living the Dream Partners ceremony celebrating the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and honoring community leaders with the Living the Dream Award.
Mayor Sokhary Chau hosted a Back-to-School Block Party at Sheehy Park on Aug. 27 that provided both fun and school supplies for the city’s students as they kick off the new school year. Lowell Public Schools provided 1,000 backpacks that were given to students. The event was also supported by the Lowell City Manager’s Office, Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association, Tenesha Scarlett and other local partners.
