Hyderabad, June 5 (IANS) Telangana has been ranked in the top in terms of overall environmental performance in the annual report of the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), a prominent public interest research and advocacy organisation.
Telangana formation day celebrations were also held at Telangana Legislative Assembly and Council. Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy hoisted the national flag at the Assembly. Council chairman G. Sukhender Reddy unfurled the national flag at Council premises.
The local people are suffocating due to the thick smoke that is engulfing the whole area. Firefighters have evacuated the place and also urged everyone to leave the premises. Four fire engines are trying to take the situation under control. There are no casualties so far.
