From monday, england and wales covid border controls will be significantly relaxed as people who have been fully vaccinated in the eu or us will not need to isolate when coming to england from an amber list country. Officials say the move will reunite friends and family who live abroad. The uk transport secretary grant shapps said the new rules will apply to all travellers from the united states, the european union, as well as norway and switzerland. But france for now is not included, after being classed as amber plus. Passengers will need to have been fully vaccinated in america or the eu travellers will still need a test before setting off and another test two days after arrival. Northern ireland has yet to decide whether to follow suit.
