20-year-old charged with capital murder in Midfield double killing

A 20-year-old is behind bars in a Midfield double shooting earlier this month that left two people dead.
Malik Rashad Fluker, of Bessemer, is charged with capital murder, murder and attempted murder in the Dec. 2 shooting that killed Ti-Teauna Antunya Riggs, 19, and Makiel Daveon Norwood, 20. Midfield Police Chief Jesse Bell on Saturday announced the arrest, and said the slain Norwood was the second suspect in the shooting that Wednesday night.
Officers responded before 8 p.m. to a report of shots fired. As officers were en route, police received another call of a vehicle in a ditch on 12th Avenue. They arrived to find Riggs unresponsive in a crashed Dodge Charger. She was pronounced dead on the scene. ....
