An award-winning charity who help those in need has joined forces with several other East Lancashire community groups to ensure the homeless and hungry will have access to warm clothing and food this winter. Blackburn s Community Spirit has teamed-up with MEAM - Making Every Adult Matter, the Clifton Arms pub and Winfield’s of Haslingden, to provide help amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Chair of Community Spirit, Neil Mistry, said: “Those facing poverty have been severely affected by the ongoing pandemic, as along with our weekly street café in Wesley Hall we would normally be trawling the streets of Blackburn at this time of year, offering warm food and clothing to street homeless locals.
