and charles wattton near landry s parents house in north port, florida. charles, let s start with you, good afternoon. charles: hey, good afternoon, mike. the search for gabby patito s girlfriend enters day two and authorities are back to carlton resort where brian is known to frequent trying to find any trace of the 23-year-old who now has been missing for at least 5 days. yesterday authorities called off the search around sunset after coming up with nothing. they had about 50 officers from nearly half a dozen agencies out using drones, k9 s and a tvs to get through tough terrain in search of brian in 25,000-acre nature reserve, but for many in the community the focus is finding gabby patito and the community made that clear at a candlelight vigil to show support for the patito family as they go through what many would say is a parents nightmare. we just think if it was our child we would need the support because emotionally i can t imagine what they re going through. ch
get all 50 democratic senators on board. the remember, one of the reasons at least this bill has been problematic is that not all democrats are on board. senator joe manchin say notable holdout, opposes certain portions of the bill but supports a lot that s in there, including making election day a federal holiday, 15 days of early voting, automatic voter registration and we believe that democrats are close to coming up with a version that can get all 50 of their members on board. of course, hallie, as you know, getting 50 democrats on board is not enough. they need to get 60 to clear the filibuster and that is where the big question comes in. senator manchin has said he is speaking to republicans trying to get them on board, and the only one republican senator who expressed any interest in doing something major is lisa murkowski, the senator from alaska who supports the john lewis voting rights act, a separate bill that requires states with a history of racial discrimination
