Need to upgrade postsin new districts: Zhaleo

Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio stressed on the need for up gradation of posts in the newly created districts in the state and suggested the departments to give the proposal for up gradation to the government.

Dimapur Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, expressed confidence that with support and cooperation of all the officers and staff working at different levels, various flagship programmes in the two departments could be completed smoothly. Speaking at the reception programme held in his honour after taking over as the advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs at the conference hall of the Directorate of Urban Development in Kohima on Thursday, Zhaleo highlighted the importance of the two departments and challenges. He, however, expressed confident that the departments would be able to serve the public diligently with the support and cooperation of the officers and staff.  He urged the departments to work together as a team and to evaluate, study, analyse, exchange views and ideas for speedy implementation of projects and programmes, a DIPR report stated.
