If you have driven by the complex recently you can see there is still plenty of work to be done. New Kelberman Center Executive Director Tara Costello says there are 60 apartments, 48 of which will for moderate income people in the community and the other 12 for people with autism or disabilities, The intent of the project really is about a community setting with mix used apartments. We have 60 units, affordable units in South Utica, that allows for 48 individuals, and have a beautiful setting, and we have 12 units dedicated for individuals with disabilities. Her company is called Dangles by Caroline – for now. She says a name change, “Caroline Mae Designs” is coming soon. Due to the coronavirus pandemic her craft business of designing and selling accessories now includes sewing masks.

Talk about turning lemons into lemon-aid, this girl didn t let COVID-19 stop her from being awesome! When the pandemic hit, Caroline started her own business sewing masks to help people in need due to the mask shortage. Now, Caroline has taken it a step further, she s still sewing masks, over 800 to be exact, but this time to support The Kelberman Center, a local organization that provides services and supports to children and adults with autism.
