Winnipeggers concerned about the situation in Myanmar are invited to participate in a silent prayer walk on Tuesday. The walk, which is being organized by members of the Christian, Buddhist and Muslim communities the three main religions in Myanmar starts at 11 a.m. at the Upper Fort Garry gate at the corner of Broadway and Main Street and will end at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. In addition to prayers, the walk will feature a drum song, short speeches explaining the situation in Myanmar and an invitation to sign a letter to the federal government asking it to do more to stop the killing in that country.
