Concerned citizen alerts cops to body of man under flyover

KAJANG: The body of a man was found hanging from a pedestrian bridge along the SILK Highway on Monday (June 28) morning. The deceased, who was believed to have contracted Covid-19, had complained to his family prior to the incident that he could not bear the pain of the symptoms. Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said the police received a call at 7.47am from a member of the public who saw the body hanging from the pedestrian bridge near Taman Impian Ehsan, Balakong. Investigations revealed the man was identified as a 56-year-old local. Further checks with the victims family revealed the victim was suspected to be Covid-9 positive.

Cops arrest man who mugged woman on first date 17 Feb 2021 / 07:38 H. KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16: Police arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly mugging a woman while out on their first date. Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the incident occurred yesterday at around 5.45 pm at Jalan 17/1 Petaling Jaya. The woman met the suspect through Facebook, and had accepted his invitation for a dinner date. “During the date, the suspect forcefully took the victim’s gold bracelet and then left her in front of a 24-hour convenience store in the area,” Nik Ezanee said in a statement today.

The 39-year-old woman went out with the suspect, who she befriended on Facebook. He took her out for dinner and then forced her to hand over her bracelet along Jalan 17/1 here. The suspect left the woman in front of a convenience store at Section 13, he said in a statement on Tuesday (Feb 16). He said after gathering intelligence, police raided a house at Taman Impian Ehsan, Seri Kembangan, at 11.10pm the same day and arrested a 39-year-old man believed to be responsible.
