Armenians have protested after reports that as many as 100 soldiers were seized by Azerbaijani forces in Nagorno-Karabakh.
They were captured weeks after a war in which at least 5,000 servicemen died and Azerbaijan made territorial gains.
Karabakh is internationally recognised as part of Azerbaijan but is under Armenian control.
The recent conflict was brought to an end by a Russian-mediated peace deal, but clashes have broken out again.
As part of the agreement, Armenia handed three areas over to Azerbaijan and the flare-up took pace in one of them, a southern area of Karabakh.

Armenians have protested after reports as many as 100 soldiers were seized in a raid by Azerbaijani forces in Armenian-controlled Nagorno-Karabakh.
A six-week war that claimed at least 5,000 servicemen s lives was brought to an end last month, with Azerbaijani forces taking some territory.
On Tuesday night, Nagorno-Karabakh s defence ministry said contact had been lost with a number of military posts.
Protests have taken place in Armenia s capital and Nagorno-Karabakh itself.
There has been no comment so far on the soldiers reported capture from Azerbaijan s defence ministry.

The de facto authorities in Nagorno-Karabakh say dozens of ethnic Armenian soldiers have been captured in a raid by Azerbaijani forces in the breakaway region following last month s cease-fire that ended six weeks of fighting. Unfortunately, several dozen of our servicemen have been captured near Khtsaberd, the leader of the separatist mountainous region, Arayik Harutiunian, said on December 16.
The Nagorno-Karabakh military said 73 of its soldiers had gone missing around the villages of Khtsaberd (Caylaqqala in Azeri) and Hin Tagher (Kohne Taglar). The rights ombudsman in the region, Artak Beglarian, earlier put the number at around 60.
