“’Gate After Dark” marked the beginning of a week of activities held by the First@Colgate program, which is designed to support first-generation students and their families. Activities are scheduled leading up to National First-Generation Day on Nov. 8. Students gathered on Friday, Nov. 3 at the O’Connor Campus Center (the Coop) for a sandwich tasting.
FSU CARE s Upward Bound will serve a total of 60 first-generation high school students from low-income families in Suwannee and Hamilton counties and begins on Sept. 1.
