Not Quite Ready for Carnegie Hall Players (NQR) is a program of the Carson City Symphony Association for adults who recently began to play or returned to playing string instruments. Weekly sessions are on Thursday mornings beginning Sept. 1, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive.
The Carson City Symphony, conducted by Music Director David Bugli, will open its 40th season on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, at 4 p.m., with a concert, “Life begins at Forty,” at the Carson City Community Center s Bob Boldrick Theater. This will be the Symphony s 220th concert.
Carson Chamber Singers, a 40-member chorus directed by Dr. Gary Schwartz, present Joseph & James on Friday, October 20, at 7:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 200 N. Division Street in Carson City, and on Saturday, October 21, at 7:00 p.m., at Epworth United Methodist Church, 280 E. Stillwater Ave. in Fallon.
