what it all means for whatever happes next. my judgment? who asked that? i did. all in with chris hayes starts now. tonight on all in. this is about the most miserable experience i ve had down here in d.c. day four of the trump impeachment trial is in the books. there was a claim that they did not share the evidence with the defense ahead of time. on wednesday, this week. they repeated the phrase, never before seen footage. let me ask you this, why wasn t the footage seen before, shouldn t president trump have the right to see the new evidence against him? that would be quite a claim if it were true, but it is not. every piece of evidence, including new videos were given to the defense team before the trial. in fact, the rules of the trial agreed upon before it started said everything had to be shared ahead of time. trump s lawyers were not stretching the truth. they were just lying about that. including as i mentioned, an 11 minute long montage of democrats
it made him look worse. we ve gone over that. the permits for the unite the right march in charlottesville were gotten by an avowed white supremacist, okay? and it was a white supremacist march. so if you want to conflate and do all that craziness, know the president should have known his history. he should have known what had happened. the lawyers should have known that counterprotesters did not need a permit to protest against the people at the march. it was all smoke and mirrors. i couldn t believe it. well, they were doing it to show a demonstration of donald trump calling out violence, and that s how few examples they had that they had to use that one. and, again, that was a bad example because the longer the sound bite went on, the worse it made him look because he did not know his history about who exactly was at that march. if you saw the people with tiki torch es saying jews will not replace us, you will not replace us, who is fine with that? well, their ad y
