What can you tell us about what the plan is for texas democrats . Lawmakers dont feel like they have any options to negotiate. They spent the weekend in conversations and they feel like they just need to move forward and that for them is leaving the state for the first time in 18 years or so. Theyre planning to just leave the state until the session ends. It can last up to 30 days. Were a few days in so theyre going to Washington Dc for three weeks where they hope to put a spotlight on this legislation as well as lobby for federal voting legislation. They see that as the end game. Governor Greg Abbott can just keep calling Special Sessions and asking them to pass the special legislation.
