Every new government has its surprises, as is tradition. And there were on Wednesday evening, when the CSV and the DP signed their coalition agreement and presented their ministers and portfolios. The details of the plan for what PM-designate Luc Frieden calls “a consistent team” remain to be seen.
It was the central question of this election: would the coalition retain a majority of the 60 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and go back for another round? The answer is no. The CSV is now in control and can form a two-party coalition with either the DP or the LSAP.
In the run-up to the elections, Paperjam will offer five thematic round tables in French with simultaneous translation into English. They can also be followed live via streaming.
