Prime Minister Narendra Modi has personally intervened after Lieutenant General (Retd) DS Hooda, who is considered as the chief architect of the 2016 surgical strikes, sought help for his sister who is suffering from cancer.
On Saturday, PM Modi called retired Lieutenant General D S Hooda to assure him that the request of his sister Sushma to help expedite the approval of a new breast cancer drug would be considered. The siblings had appealed to PM Modi on Twitter.
