MOUNT DESERT ISLAND — A lawsuit centered on access to a private beach in southern Maine will have consequences statewide if the state’s highest court rules in the plaintiffs’ favor.
The goal of the lawsuit was to gain public beach access stating the "people of Maine have been threatened, harassed, and chased off land that belongs to them."
