A talking about conspiracy theories, there was no way to not say that this more the republican side, that s because my own reporting. it s always shocking but not surprising what you re hearing some republicans, and i can think of the virginia governor glenn youngkin who, said there is no room for violence but we are going to send it to pelosi right back to california with her husband. that to me tells me the state of our politics right, now which is it has gotten so tribal. even when someone is literally in the hospital getting their skull repaired, there cannot be opposed to, say we re gonna start with nancy pelosi. the policies we do not, like. later asked to be the same, date same sentence. and what to me tells me that is sort of underscores the state of our, politics which is scary and dangerous. i m sure you ve gotten threats, so many people around in the media. people are getting threats every. day and sometimes they come to your doorstep, even when it s at our doorstep we can t

Of political violence and warnings we are talking about due to donald trump and the republican party? in my personal opinion it is a normal enormous. do not just take my word for it, the data shows that this is the case. before donald trump was president, conspiracy theories like qanon were on the fringes of the american political system. now, in the wake of his presidency, polls show that 50% of republicans now believe in the core tenets of qanon. that is absolutely staggering. what does that have to do with political violence? a lot of these individuals who start of these grievances and conspiracy theories and jumped the tracks from violent rhetoric into actual violence. so much so that we are not seeing one in four americans say that they are more predisposed towards political violence and one in ten americans say that they would like to see donald trump forcibly reinstalled in the white house. this is a blinking red light
Spirit, the feeling that so many pittsburghers and pennsylvania s felt in the hours after the tree of life when we tried to come together. this guy, doug mastriano, is trying to rip us apart all over again. it is unconscionable. your thoughts on the connection between that rise and that antisemitism in the politically-charged environment that we are in now? it seems as though antisemitism, anti black racism, just intolerance and ray sentiment and hatred in general is more accepted now than it was ever, but even four years ago. i will push back on you, totally respectfully. i don t know that it is more accepted, but certainly more prevalent. that is because hate speech begets hate crimes. the type of vitriol that comes from my opponent and others like him leads to more violence in our communities. it leads to targeting someone
