Fortune Hotel Group, the hospitality arm of CP Land, plans to add five budget hotels in provincial areas this year, in the hope vaccination programmes will help the hotel business recover by mid-year.

Sunthorn Arunanondchai, president and chief executive at CP Land and Fortune Hotel Group, said the new developments are in locations where the group already has plots to save on costs.
Five new hotels with construction costs worth a combined 500 million baht are under the brand Fortune D, a budget option.
The company is planning hotels with 79 rooms in Khon Kaen, Nong Khai, Mukdahan and Nakhon Phanom.
