An investigation last year found the churchs financial arm, which in the 18th century was known as queen annes bounty, had received funds linked to enslavement worth more than £1 billion in todays money. Today, a group with oversight of the churchs response said the £100 million that had been earmarked by the church to address the legacy of slavery was not enough.
