There is a new place to grab a coffee, a sandwich, or maybe a treat in downtown Leominster.
And it is run by a familiar face in the city.
Mayor Dean Mazzarella’s Central Flag and Gift, for years located at 41 Main St., has moved across the street to 40 Main St. And now that as of March 1 it has expanded into food and drinks, the business has been renamed Main Street Gift & Cafe.
According to Mazzarella, the expanded store both fills a need and builds upon the “excitement” of new businesses like a cheese shop and restaurants opening downtown.
