But they say it also revealed a downside to the procedure. The Monticello School district says Police Received a text message indicating a student might bring a gun to the high school yesterday. As a precaution, police were at the school, and students were not allowed in hallways during classes. Parents, if they wanted to, could take their kids out of school for the day. Early yesterday morning, Monticello Police chief britt smith got a message on his phone.
